How much does a new roof cost in Nashville?
An architectural shingle roof on a typical Middle Tennessee home most often runs $12,000 to $25,000 installed, with size, pitch, the number of layers to remove and decking repairs setting the price. Standing-seam metal is roughly two to three times the cost of shingles and lasts two to three times as long. We photograph the roof, measure it and write an estimate you can compare line by line.

How do I know if I need a new roof?
Shingles that are curling, missing granules or lifting at the edges, ceiling stains after a storm, and a roof past twenty years old are the signs that matter. Hail and wind damage after a Middle Tennessee storm often qualify for an insurance replacement; we document it with photos and meet the adjuster on site.
Which siding is best for Tennessee?
Fiber cement is our default recommendation: it does not rot, burn or feed termites, it holds paint for fifteen years and it comes in lap, shingle and board-and-batten profiles. Vinyl is the budget choice and has improved a great deal. Wood is beautiful and honest and needs paint every five to seven years in our humidity.
How long does a roof or siding replacement take?
One to three days for most shingle roofs, a week or more for metal. Siding a whole house typically takes one to three weeks depending on the amount of rot repair, trim and paint involved.

Do you work with insurance claims for storm damage?
Yes. We inspect and photograph the damage, help you file, meet the adjuster on site and build to the approved scope. Hail and straight-line wind damage after Middle Tennessee storms are the most common claims we see.
Metal roof or shingles?
Architectural shingles cost less and last twenty-five to thirty years; standing-seam metal costs two to three times as much and lasts fifty or more, sheds snow and rain faster and suits farmhouses and porch roofs. Many of our custom homes use both.
Is James Hardie fiber cement siding worth it?
Yes, for most homes. It does not rot, warp, burn or feed termites, holds paint far longer than wood and carries a thirty-year substrate warranty. It costs more than vinyl to install because of its weight, and the difference shows over the life of the house.
Do you repair roofs or only replace them?
Both. A roof under fifteen years old with localized damage is usually worth repairing; one that is curling, shedding granules or past twenty is usually worth replacing. We tell you which after an inspection, with photos.
How long does a shingle roof last in Tennessee?
Twenty to thirty years for an architectural shingle roof that is properly ventilated; less on a poorly vented attic or after repeated hail. Ventilation, ice-and-water shield in the valleys and correct flashing are what get you to the long end of that range.
