In our experience a mid-range kitchen remodel in Middle Tennessee — new cabinets, counters, backsplash, lighting and floors in the existing footprint — most often lands between $45,000 and $85,000. Moving walls, plumbing or gas, adding an island with services, or choosing custom cabinetry and natural stone pushes a full remodel into the $90,000 to $150,000 range and beyond. Cabinets and counters are usually half the budget, which is why we price those first.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Six to ten weeks of construction is typical once cabinets are on site, and cabinets themselves take four to twelve weeks to arrive after you approve the drawings. We order everything before demolition starts so the kitchen is not torn out while we wait on a delivery, and we set up a temporary kitchen so you can stay in the house.
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?
If the work moves plumbing, gas or electrical circuits, or touches a structural wall, yes — in Metro Nashville, Sumner, Williamson, Wilson and the surrounding counties a permit and inspections are required. Cosmetic work like replacing cabinets in place usually does not. We pull the permits in our name, schedule the inspections and hand you the paperwork at the end.
Is a kitchen remodel worth it?
Financially, a well-done kitchen consistently returns one of the highest shares of its cost at resale of any interior project, and in the Nashville market a dated kitchen is the first thing buyers discount. Practically, it is the room you use most. The projects that pay off best fix the layout and the light, not just the finishes.

Can you remodel a kitchen for $30,000?
Sometimes — if the layout stays, the cabinets are refaced or replaced with a stock line, and counters and backsplash are mid-range, a smaller Nashville kitchen can be refreshed around that figure. Moving plumbing, gas or walls, or choosing custom cabinets and stone, takes the project well above it. We will tell you which one your kitchen is at the first visit.
What is the best order to remodel a kitchen?
Design and selections first, then order cabinets, then demolition, rough plumbing and electrical, inspection, drywall, flooring, cabinet install, counter template and install, backsplash, then fixtures, appliances and paint. Ordering everything before demolition is what keeps a kitchen from sitting torn out for weeks.
Do I need a designer for a kitchen remodel?
Not always. Our team draws layouts and coordinates cabinet design for most kitchens; for a large or complex kitchen we bring in a kitchen designer we trust and sit in on the meetings so the design stays buildable and on budget.
Do you replace cabinets or reface them?
Both. Refacing keeps well-built boxes and replaces doors, drawer fronts and hardware for a fraction of the cost; replacement makes sense when the layout, the boxes or the storage are the problem. We will show you the difference on your kitchen.
What kitchen features are most requested in Nashville right now?
